Puppy Life Skills
At Tail Talk, we want you to feel relaxed and happy at our Puppy Life Skills class with your new puppy. Together we will train your puppy in a relaxed, kind, friendly and fun environment. We keep our classes small, having no more than 6 puppies per class. Our aim is to help you and your puppy to build confidence, and we will be there to provide the support you need. Over the 5-week class, you will begin to understand your new family member as they develop, seeing their own unique personality appear. During our time together, we will help you to bond with them through Puppy Life Skills.
Teen Paws
Our Teen Paws classes are very well managed to properly accommodate adolescent dogs. We run these in small groups so that we can give you the time, space and support to make progress with your teen. Whether your teenager is excitable, boisterous or needs a quiet area, we can tailor our course content to ensure you are working in an appropriate environment with the right level of training for your dog. We know this age can be a challenging time for you and your young dog, and we will be there to support you through it.
Progression
Our Progression classes will enable your dog to learn new skills and tricks. This is a small, outdoor class, providing your dog with plenty of space to train. We include scent work and activities that will improve recall training. We want to make it a fun class too and so will have various games to play. Our training with The Dog Trainer School allows us to deliver their School Levels, and we provide classes starting at level 1 and working up through to level 5 (advanced skills). All of the activities we do will help continue to build on the bond you have with your dog.
Walk and Train
Our Walk and Train classes are trainer led and designed to help you with your everyday walks. We provide walk and train for both puppies (aged under 7 months) and dogs (aged over 8 months). We choose different locations over the 4-week class, mirroring those that you are likely to go on yourselves. We show you the best way to deal with the inevitable distractions and interactions regularly encountered on a typical walk. We have plenty of fun along the way and finish the walk with a hot drink and a chat. These walks have become very popular and are for members that have already taken one of our other classes or had a 1:1 session.
